Global Alliance Activity Heats UP
Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation notes the oneworld alliance, which includes Qantas, is set for its biggest expansion since its launch eight years ago, with Japan Airlines, Royal Jordanian and Malev all set to join on 01-Apr-07 (although Aer Lingus will withdraw on the same date). SkyTeam is busy signing up associate members, while Star Alliance has been active in some of the "white spots" on its network, for example China, where it will welcome Air China and Shanghai Airlines at some point in the not too distant future.
oneworld’s expansion brings it closer to the other alliances in terms of global network density with 9,190 daily departures to 692 destinations across 142 countries (after the Apr-07 changes). Star has 16,411 daily departures to 855 destinations in 155 countries (2Q07) and Skyteam 14,615 departures to 728 destinations in 149 countries (Summer 2006/07).
oneworld is actively promoting its status as the "only global airline alliance with a member in the Americas south of Mexico and the only alliance with a member from Australia". This is reflected in its strong South America capacity shares in the graphic above.
But the key for all alliances going forward is filling the "white spots". oneworld has just a 4% capacity share within Asia and no coverage within the Middle East – gaps that will be plugged with Japan Airlines and Royal Jordanian joining. SkyTeam has virtually no presence in any regions below the equator, while Star is weak in South America and the Middle East. India is another emerging battleground for the alliances. The key candidates will be Air India/Indian Airlines, following merger/fleet upgrades, as well as Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines.

海航应该选择寰宇一家。在北京市场上,国航星空,南航天合,海航寰宇,这样搭配,最好不过了。就像东京,日航寰宇,全日空星空,美西北天合,也是很好搭配。当然,前提是海航要想办法巩固在北京的市场,这样才有资本吸引航空联盟啊。

国、东、南三家,分列给3个联盟,海航一如上航,是一家地方航空公司,除了星空联盟外,应该还有天合可以选择吧。

大海航在海南美兰作基地没什么发展,再说美兰在过2年连三亚不如。在海口放10架飞机作基地很合适。
